As an added extra note, I have waited 43yrs for this ring from my Partner, we met while we were at school as young teenagers.
Over the past four decades we have gone through everything together but we could never afford to marry and decided being together was more important than signing a contract.
Three years ago on New Years Eve just before the Pandemic, my Partner was diagnosed with terminal Lung Cancer and was given only 12-18 months to live which of course threw our lives upside down and inside out.
